Père Lachaise Poem by Cindy J.M.S

Père Lachaise

Dancing through the past on cobblestone paths
Trees whisper memories of hearts
A melody taken by beauty that soothes
The sight of loss

Faces carved in stone stare towards the heavens
A reflection of what was felt
I hold the memory inside my heart
Sitting still on a bench surrounded by art

A soul's calling beyond the grave
Finding peace among the great
As I walk down the steps
Remembering those who are at rest at Père Lachaise
