Pain
The pain invades
seeping through my skin
finding its way into my bones
through my veins, to my heart
paralyzing me.
My heart keeps beating
even when I wish it wouldn't.
The tears slide down my face
cold and quick
a map of my pain
for the world to see
to follow back to my heart
that just won't stop beating.
