Pancake Called Hope Poem by Naphilakmen Syiemlieh

Pancake Called Hope

Of hope if ever the
future's uncertain,
I would make pancakes
money, to breathe.

Butter and sugar
and the egg goes in
a splash of milk
I fold in the flour

Proud first pancake
I called it "hope"
that fanatic twelve
years old thought, Hope.
