Pandemic Poem by Gopal Dutta

Pandemic

Man has always been so confined!
Like a name clung to a person
And he has thought of the infinity all along.
Man has always been so confined…
And it is only now that he has realized it.

Man has always been so lonely in the crowd!
Like a scarecrow in the cornfield
And he has thought of mingling with the unseen in the space.
Man has always been so lonely in the crowd…
And it is only now that he has felt it.

Man has always been so masked!
Like a Brutus hiding his true colors
And he has spoken of transparency all along.
Man has always been so masked
And it is only now that he has seen it.
