Pappy Poem by Jessica Burral

Through the many years it has been a hard and rough road without you here.
There has been ups and downs but without you more downs.
The memory will always be there through thick and thin.
The smiles, the hugs, the Thanksgivings, and Christmas', all the other days just spent with you.
The things I remember about you shall never be forgotten, even though at times I forget how your hugs felt and sometimes how your voice sounded.
Still you're in my heart and there you shall stay until we hopefully meet again someday.
It was you who said, once someone was gone there was nothing we could do and to go on with our lives as it was.
Yet I can not do so, I love going to see you and to tell you how much I love you and so deeply miss you.
I'll always remember you and even though you won't be in their lives, my children will know who you are and what a wonderful man you were and what an impact you made on my life and so many others.
