Paradigm Poem by Renee SeaBrooks

Paradigm

Can you tell

by how

I look,

if I was

a junky

or

hooked

on books,

Can you tell

by the

color of

my skin,

how I

live

or where

I'v been,

Can you tell

by the

car

I drive

if I'm

good

or if

I'm jive,

Can You Tell

from where

I sleep

if I

am happy

or if

I'm deep,

Can you Tell

the company

I keep

if I'm

strong

or if

I'm weak,

Can you tell

if Christ

lives in

me,

Can you tell

by what you

see?

Wow, striking! I love this so much. Beautiful words. People always assume they know another based on the outside, without even bothering to peek on in.
