Paradise Poem by Dereck Gibbs

Paradise

Drifting aimlessly
Unpredictable shifting direction
Caressed by randomness
Sometimes I lose myself
Should I ask for directions?
I found an oasis
A place to recuperate
Away from life devouring parasites
Escape from harpies picking my flesh
My Valhalla, my paradise
Losing my mind
Twas the greatest thing
Now it’s back on the grind
They found my location
Recued from heaven
I lose sight of paradise
And the daydream ends
