Paradise Poem by moon dust

Paradise

Heading back down that old road
Rutted from years of driving in my mind
Seeing that look in your eyes
I've passed you a few times
You're out there on the road
And you've forced me to the edge
And I've driven as far as I can go
But you got me on this ledge
I'm trying to reach the top
I'm a long way from home
Each step I gain feels like I'm sliding down
Can I ever get to the town of Paradise
I hear it's at the top
But I seem to be going too fast
And this luck of mine, is it meant to last until Paradise
Or will you be the detour in my road
Pointing out another way to go
Will I follow the upward climb, or your sign
Will you take me to Paradise?
Do you know the way?
Or are you my delay, to Paradise?
