Paralyzed In Paradise Poem by Damilare Tella

Paralyzed In Paradise

Alas, i'm within the walls of comfort
Sweetness soaked the air for it owns it
Floor dressed in imprudent elegance
Splendor is ceaseless in this paradise

Yet, the ghost of the past won't let me be
It lights its torch at the slightest chance
It burns my bones to a screeching stop
The will to remain poisons my soul
I feel Paralyzed in this paradise

Fate, if this a joke to you.
I hope you laugh yourself into oblivion.
