Paralyzed Sleep Poem by April Janovich

Paralyzed Sleep

In between two worlds.
Dream collides with reality.
I see myself sleeping and
Everything around me, I
Must be awake but my
Eyes are closed. My
Body, frozen like ice,
Confusion in my mind.

A dark shadow appears.
Is it evil? Maybe. Or the
Spirit left my body for a
little tour and is returning
Home. I must wake up! I try
To move fingers and toes.
Pins and needles is what I feel.
I slowly wake up and fall
Back into a deep sleep.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is about something that happens to me every now and then. It's really hard to explain it but I think the poem fits it perfectly.

Interesting format that. Read mine - I Cannot Return - And don't forget to read the comments, they make the poem that much better. Adeline
