Parenting Poem by Mary Champion

Parenting

This is what I learned about parenting: -

It is more like gardening than manufacturing.

You can nurture your child,
ensure it is firmly planted in fertile soil
in a suitable environment.
Nourish it.
Give it access to light
and room to grow.
Talk to it,
Love it
BUT…
If you have planted a tulip bulb
you will never grow a daffodil
and if you try to do otherwise
you will stunt its growth
and may destroy it.
