Pasiley Poem by Dawn McNamara McNamara

Pasiley

The dress I wore two days ago,
Into the laundry you must go.
I stood up to read.
The eyes were turned.
Waiting patiently for the touch.
I bowed down and looked for a place to rest my head.
In that wood and stone sometimes I find no rest.
Temptations put me sorely to the test.
But in the end, when all is said (or not said) and done,
Those memories warm me as the sun.
I may be self wounded, tired and sore.
I loved him...but I love God more.
