Past Mod Life Poem by Wayne Falconer

Past Mod Life

I was delivering my son
to the local kindergarten
when the Head teacher said 'boy
you're looking terribly damper today'.
With those blue jeans matching shirt
double breasted jacket and boots.

I replied sweet lady teacher Jill
'Once I was mode about town
a swinging cat you might say
before married bliss did arrive.
Changed my way of free thinking
gave me more conservative look'.

So I'll repeat about fashion times.
Once was the hip swinging mod
who lived the colourful bohemian life
music parties flashy clothes and girls
dominated my youthful rocking mind
yesterday within another life I lived.

Yeah once when mod fashion was king.
