Lord, draw me to my knees,
For without you I am nothing-
Apart from Love I am a rusty gate-
Creaking on the hinges of my helpless estate.
Lord, lead me down the path of humility,
For this street of self complacency
Only leads to faithless worry-
I am like a tank running on empty,
Never satisfied- always thirsting.
God, lead me down the path of humility-
Where the hope of divine providence brings firm security-
Where the sight of your glorious creation brings peace that transcends all understanding-
Where the road ahead is no cause for worry,
For you have planned each of my steps according to your holy sovereignty-
Let my heart be ever at rest in Thee
As you lead me down this path of humility.
