Pathetic Love Poem by Samantha Tirado

Pathetic Love

Rating: 4.5

I was there
I think a relatives place
We walk in and see the big family
I stand out and am asked a bunch of questions
This wasn’t my kind of party
But there was a DJ
Right beside him a guy
I look at him he looks at me
We look at each other constantly
We lock our eyes about twice but I know
I shouldn't so I look away
I know I have cruelty in my heart
And all i want to do is embarrass or humiliate
Someone else's heart
I want to go flirt with him and get to know him
And when he's thought he knows me
I break his poor, pathetic heart
By telling him how old I am
I look pretty mature for 11 huh?
It would be so brutal yet so quenching to tell
This 17 year old he's crushing on a 11 year old
Pathetic, pathetic.
My heart wants to do this to fill the space its missing
But I know if I do it I will just want to break more.
I take one last look at him and walk out the door.
