Patience Poem by Dustin Newman

Patience

Speak your heart now. It may never beat again.
Utter the attentive words you hold true.
Stir thoughts of the sun filled days to come.
Bleed them to the wind so that the world may know.
Be not ashamed from whence they flow.

She comes to you.
But only in time.
Patience is your ring.
Wear it proudly.
Rely not on your ears.
You will not hear her.
Rely not on your eyes.
Clouds wrap her in its arms.

Fingers upon your cheek will be your notice.
Softness to wipe away the wrinkles of pain.
No angel but closer are none to the hand of God.
Time is the natural selection.
Choosing those who wait, the perfect fruit.
Let things happen as they may.
