Patriotism - Poem by Sylvia Ashley
Many people are proud of their heritage,
Because of their potpourri set of genes,
Many were poor, and lived beyond their means,
Then they came to America, which is vast, unique, and great,
Which is divided separately into each state.
There should be plenty of opportunity for everyone,
To have their individual place in the sun,
And to be free to live, wihout hypocrasy,
With a full life, love, and endeavor,
And to be heavenly blessed.
