Peace Poem by Amelia Adair

Peace

Your peace is a place you Love
A space internally developed
Over time
The peace never leaves
But often gets ignored

Get pushed out the way
Or stomped on
If ya let it
Or maybe you gave it

To someone else instead
They may have needed it desperately
Desperately more than you
Depends on how you look at it

Your peace
Or your piece
A piece of peace is still peace
Just pieces have been broken off
Or buried deep. Within

Tryna run away
Or better yet
Soft spoken
Knowing how to exist
With out causing any ruckus

Peace
Peace peace

Speak to your peace
Call that hoe back in
She loves to go Joy riding
And trying out new things

Running round town
With her lil friends
Yeah
Friends
Pain and sorrow
Or sorrow and pain

Yea sorry for your pain
Your pain buried deep
Like fun day at the beach
Buried in the sand
Or sand on your feet

Oppss they stepped on your feet

The peace you have
Disturb someone, ya see

So they gave you their pain
In
Exchange for your peace

But don't get fooled again

Next time just give them
A piece
A piece of your peace
So your piece never leaves again.
That how I love my peace
My friend
