I woke up this morning
And found it still storming
In the dreams of the night
I could escape life's bite
But when my slumber is over
Nothing is crimson and clover
I wish I could fall back to sleep
Where pain doesn't dare creep
But I must rise
Much to my own despise
I wish this life I could sever
And sleep forever
