Peace Of History Poem by Rebecca Kolis

Peace Of History

There’s nothing like a sense of recognition,
Some hindrance to bring ourselves back down from the clouds.
Following what’s facts from fiction,
A mindset previous to peace that we have found.

Ignorance settles into fatality,
Desperation to find a significant everlasting moment.
Sometimes its blinding but its not hard to see,
The sun kisses the earth but the cold leaves us frozen.

Challenges fall at our feet,
We taste succession at the tip of our tongues.
We reach and so we here by decree,
What lives within our being is what we are meant to become.

In history passed on to the generation that follows,
An ego is chased by wisdom.
Tales are told but the truth perseveres as time goes,
Fascination and intrigue is what inspires our vision.

Opportunities pass but they hold demands,
Taking extended arms and reaching.
Some in which we are not willing to chance,
Some in which bring light but yet they are not until accomplished deceiving.

Self perpetuated a mind can believe any spoken line,
Trusting its future endeavors and past accomplishments.
It tells all things with in its own time,
Leaving us lost in astonishment.
