Peaceful Sea Poem by Casey Jarrell

Peaceful Sea

A lady relaxing on the beach
is recollecting her memories of the peaceful sea.
Feeling the warmth of the sun and feeling free
always felt better when she was with her family.
Watching the children play from where she sat,
yet her lover was asleep with his face under his hat.

Her daughter was in her lounge floating along,
but her granddaughter was by her singing a song.
Her son was by the water digging a hole
while her grandson with her son found a bowl.

When her husband found his wake,
he soon found out that he was blisteringly baked.
At the beach there was life,
yet at home there was no strife.
