Perfect, Just Perfect Poem by Fathimath Farha

Perfect, Just Perfect

He placed his hands gently on her waist,
Her finger rested on his strong broad shoulders.
His eyes, a brilliant blue, they shone, staring deep,
Into her hazel brown eyes.
His eyes search hers,
She blushed, a crimson red streaked across her face.

The pale moonlight lit up the night sky,
Under which they danced,
To some music, to a song no one else could hear,
To steps, not one could make clear.

He closed in towards her,
He whispered words into her ears,
Her reaction, no one could understand,
She whispered back, a reply to his.

He smiled, and he looked the most charming,
She grinned and she was the most beautiful.
They stopped their lingering, their gaze fixed,
Into each other’s eyes, never lost.

He took hold of her chin,
Looked ever more intensely into her eyes.
Her face lifted up to his, her eyes sparkled,
With innocence so bliss.

They inched closer, their
Face drawing in.
And their gaze broke, their eyes closed.
Their lips met, softly but surely,
And there they stood, under the,
Pale moonlight,
A perfect couple, sealed with the perfect kiss…
