Perfections Of An Imperfect Woman Poem by Amayoka Buhere

Perfections Of An Imperfect Woman

Rating: 5.0

I choose control over my mind o'er power over yours
I chose candid truth o'er candied lies
I chose grandeur over glamour
my world over yours
I chose not vanity, nay
I chose piety over musings of the reckless mind
I choose life, I choose love
I chose, and still, I'll choose
my life over pleasing you
perfect in my world
I'll make more choices, most will please you not
above all things
I choose control over my mind o'er power over yours
but I choose not vanity.
