Perspective Poem by Natasa Bajic

Perspective

When you realize
that the different is
the same
only then will you think
clearly
only then will you see
clearly
that even forever comes
too late
that black is yellow, is white,
that the soul takes your body
that the night takes your days
that there's no eastern side
that the shirt is buttoned the same way
that a perspective
is a trap of understanding
you're never told
how and when they acquired
they just went over
and were already far away.
And you had questions to the silences
and looked for shortcuts to the plains
In every atom the riddle of the universe
your hopes are abortions of conduct
your head is a treasure of ants
of those special
of those COURTEOUS.
