Ph: Faith: Thank You, Lord, For Failures Too

Rating: 4.0

I thank you, Lord, for failures that help bend me to your will!
And thank you, not that you shame me, but that I still know shame,
'Humility' gets born anew, as your Grace serves me still,
With wisdom, that reveals my faults, but doesn't others blame!

You've taught me where my power lies, that I can change myself,
That changing others rarely works, and mostly wastes my time,
My 'goodness, ' just a fairy tale (that I'm my own best 'elf') ,
Your Grace remains my truest verse, and 'Magic' found in rhyme!

I ask your blessing on my muse, just one source of my wealth,
On friends who dare to share their truth, though it may feel unkind,
Your 'blessing' too, on scientists, who help improve my health,
For worms for bait (and fish that bite) , a balm that pleasures mind.

Oh, let me be a fisherman of those my poems serve,
Attract them with a title, phrase, to flash before their eyes.
Help me to trust your harvest, Lord, to love who You preserve,
But most of all live in the truth that Christ's life's only prize!
