Ph: Love: My Quest (To Be Humble) Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Love: My Quest (To Be Humble)

I like my stuff; I really do! Of course, I hope you'll like it too,
I write, not just for love I think, but nakedness in all my ink,
I learn with you what seems most real, bring 'light of day' to what I feel,
In this pursuit show me myself, dust off what's hidden on 'back shelf.'

Does openness best serve my quest? I doubt this too with all the rest!
I search for truth and do not pause, to question answers heart calls laws,
For truth must serve 'community, ' if it's to help us all be free!
To build me up without your smile, how could that ever be worthwhile?

Forgive me if at times I'm wrong, but never doubt I'd see you strong,
For I may need that strength someday, to urge me on, my own feet clay.
I forge connections God can use, small comforts, so I don't abuse
A friendship ever, with a choice. May God help make my muse, His voice.
