Phantom Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Phantom

Her fear slid through her silver hair
Gentle was her skin
But her hands were rough
A flower appeared on the floor
She bent down to pick it up
But the thorns pricked her
Blood flowed from her fingers
With her head down, tears issued
Down it went from her cheeks
Leaving her dress damp
"What is wrong, dear one? "
Whispered the gentle breeze
She shook her head
Words did not escape her
A blur of blush and sparkle
Left the room;
I wonder how it feels like now
To enter back into the body
I once left to gaze upon
