Phenomenon Poem by amparo sobrado

Phenomenon

Daughter, did you know we met a long time ago! I was just a child.
Through my eyes it was you and i.The white dress, your bouncy hair,
reflections from eye to eye.I wish upon a star for the day to come to
have you by my side.In the corridors of my eyes, i could only have
perceived you as my beautiful doll. You wouldnt move and you did
not cry.But the voice in my room asked, 'Do you want her to jump
and cry like real babies do'? Then i answered in a divine prime,
'Will you do this for me'? Yes i can do anything for you my dear.
The voice then vanished into thin air, as did you. Many questions
lied within my mind.Deception was all i needed not to believe.
Closing my eyes into the darkness of my sleep, i chose not to
remember such a phenomenon in my life, destiny. No one knew it
was all true, until the cry of my daughter bursted free out of my room.
Some may say, they may decline, but who is apprised to which one
of us will be next.Through the eyes of my adult life, i have witnessed
my innocent trial, with your beautiful dress, and that unique smile.
The crying that once echoed within my walls, will cause arson in
your veins.
