Phoenix Poem by Raymond Valadez

Phoenix

oooh why thou flee from me. like the wind that is un-attainable so shall be our love.
for thou hast cast a shadow above my light. i will forever more wish to have you for a second more.
but the door to your soul is closed to my foot steps. a pain i much regret. i reckon thou care not.
for the kisses i gave thee entwine with love have thou forgot. promises i swore among out steady court have fallen on deaf ears, much pain entwine with sorrow is what creates my many tears. fears i have much, enough to live a eternity with out thee. but what lies beneath thou soul is not enough to complete me. i shall say i am a lover created from the Lord himself to feel the pain of lovers all across the world. i feel so much! while i clench my fist at my lover chest to feel a million thorns that prick my soul and thou in turn make my cold days and turns my colors from gold to grey, the colors chosen to mourn. soul crying? does my soul cry? allow me to say no! that with each tear shed my soul dies a painful death. this noble man has lost his vision that was set to the steady arm of 12. for thou departure has churn the handle to hell it self. the taste that lingers within me is bitter as gaul. my heart festers rashes with smell of foul. purged my love my heart submerged in mud. dirt that has begun to taste so sweet. for my only option is to rise as phoenix do, escape thou grasp and be set free.
