Picnics Poem by Catherine Inscore

Picnics

Marching ants—two by-two
Sack races
Boy chases
The pigtailed girl
Dressed in blue

Dad’s grillin’
Ice cubes so cold
Pop chillin’
Both young and old
Dancing to music

Potato chip—crunch
Green Jello jiggles
Watermelon munch
Children giggle
