Planting A Seed Poem by Jeffery Joseph

Planting A Seed

Rating: 5.0

I'd like to thank God for this administration...
1844, a small group, now the nation...
Embraces all but mainly focused on the children...
It gives the knowledge to the youth for healthy living...
It connects the mind, body, and the spirit...
Vocalizing the truth...so you could hear it...
This program's for us to receive what we need...
And that is why the Y is our seed...

This seed was introduced to I.S.59
Not much longer, it was planted inside
A fusion of the two which later came royal...
Now I.S.59 is no longer seedless soil...

We have the will for this community to run...
But we would need people to lead us...
Teach us like teachers...
Simple question. Where would we get them from?
The Y-Counselors. They would be our sun...

We go through happy days...
We go through mad days...
But there's always something you can get from a day that's bad...
What we learn in class everyday is the knowledge we gain...
Learning something new is necessary to advance, so that is the rain...
Its something we gotta tell to every son and every daughter...
So let the lessons of life resemble something you would need such as water....

If you mix these elements as if this was chemistry...
This would open up your eyes metaphorically...
We, as the students are the plants with a profound opportunity...
Since We are the future, we are the community...
