Planting To Harvesting - Strong Standing Seed (The Resurrection - Risen To Stand Strong) Poem by Tony Cemaluk

Planting To Harvesting - Strong Standing Seed (The Resurrection - Risen To Stand Strong)

They buried a man, Malukwuo, in planting season,1974,
But they planted the heir, Cemaluk.

Death buried him to sleep,
Widow mother planted him as seed,
To germinate,
To grow,
To mature for harvest.

Both are one King.
One asleep to re-awake,
To resurrect,
To rise in the other.
King never dies.
Must resurrect in the new King,
In due season as harvest.

Then near-success syndrome,
After packaging for exploit to success, to bounty harvest.
Years of wandering,
In the wilderness of life,
As the Israelites,
But with no manna.
But he trudged on with manner.
Marched forward.
Turned deserted wilderness
To learning window, as desert wisdom for body and soul.
To rule, reign as king with wisdom.

Wilderness wanted to wither the seed,
Weeds wanted to smother the seed.

Then the seed found his missing rib,
Another Nwanyi Ka Nwoke,
A blessing indeed,
After scorch of the wilderness
And smother of the weeds.

On the last lap to succumb,
To surrender,
He succumbed, slumped.
But the new Nwanyi Ka Nwoke was on time,
To revive him,
To rescue him,
To turn his wilderness and wisdom wealth
To fountain on mountain,
And he matured steadily
For steady harvest.

The harvest today, and counting abound:

Compound,
Obi and Ngwulu stand strong,
Solid, dignified.
Not negotiable.
Taste of the pudding is in the eating,
Seeing is believing.
Compound secured, nothing lost.
Upgraded and re-secured,
Sealed,
Digitally documented.

They buried the man, Malukwuo in planting season,
But they planted the heir Cemaluk,
And Cemaluk the harvest has risen,
Has awaken, rebranded, restructured
To stand strong.
