Pretty Poly Ethyl Ene
may look cute, but she's not green-
her bags and bottles scattered wide
on beaches, streets and countryside.
And, since they take so long to rot
they form a rising tide of grot.

Miss Poly Ester tries to make
those fibres that are hard to break.
sweaters, T-shirts, pants and socks;
anoraks and party frocks.
Easy care - won't shrink when wet,
but liable to make you sweat.

Consider Poly Carbonate,
he's tough as nails and also great
at parroting the sounds he hears.
His song is music to our ears.
For Compact Discs and DVD's
he has the perfect qualities.
But that's not all this parrot does-
his riot shields protect the Fuzz,
while lenses in our specs ensure
a clearer vision will endure.


Poly Styrene froths and foams-
light as feathers - make no bones-
that he's the king of packagings,
of plastic plates and other things-
like pointless plastic cutlery
and plastic cups for plastic tea.
