Play The Man Poem by Edgar Albert Guest

Play The Man

TAKE your troubles
Best you can.
Stand right up
And play the man.

Face 'em just
As though you knew
You were coming
Safely through.

Blows will hurt
And bruise you, maybe,
But don't whimper
Like a baby.

Stand right up
And be a man.
Meet your troubles
Best you can.
