Plea For Lady Valentine Poem by Shane Markie

Plea For Lady Valentine

Your smile a splendid light in darkness,
Your beauty none can compare to match.
An apology I unabasedly and openly wish to confess -
My love for you the populace cannot plunder, nor snatch.

Relinquish my sorrow as pennance for many countless wrongs,
As our unrelenting passion preserves these madrigdal songs.
As your concubine, I relinquish inalienable rights-
My love for you has encountered freedom's heights.
