Please beat me with that stick some more
The way you did before
The wounds are raw and bleeding still
Please beat me to the core

You thrive on helpless giving hearts
Like mine that was to you
So beat me down I'm crawling now
My broken heart once knew

I'll never give my love again
I'll keep it locked inside
The beatings oh so deep and long
I'll ride the healing tide

But still I'll keep my love inside
Afraid to let it shine
For beatings they will come again
And silently I'll pine
