Please, Come Back... Poem by Raimi Babatunde

Please, Come Back...

Rating: 5.0

In your quiet, I heard your musings
embedded within your smiles
tears, pains, regrets
But it's okay, not to be okay.

If everything were flowers
I'll send you a million roses.
This silence is killing me
so I opted to wrap you in a poem.

How I hate to be here
I miss your first goodmornings
and our the late night quarrels
I miss the you in you with my everything
I traded your love for a morsel
I'm sorry. Please come back.

Our favourite song reignites our fire
I go to hell and back as it plays on my radio
resurrecting deep pains and regrets
Buried in me are sweet memories of yesterday
Please, come back.

The memories we made lingers
may I never recover from those.
I'll trade all the gold in the world,
Just to get a second with you
And this time, I'll do it right.
And never again will I let go.
Please come back. Please.
