Pledged To You (Sonnet #84) Poem by Tina Rizk

Pledged To You (Sonnet #84)

I roamed once in the sky of illusion
Trying to find a meaning for my life
That was, love, before our reunion
Before you inspired my soul to thrive

My heart needed satisfaction, unfound
Exiled from myself, I belonged nowhere
For you my heart was waiting, in silent sound
Poems I wrote, past life, our love so rare

Everything changed when you touched my soul
A flood of tenderness invaded me
Joy, peace prevailed, I'm living for a goal
Sunbeam in my heart I started to see

So whenever you think of me, please know
I'm pledged to you, deep in my heart you flow
