Plenitude Of Goodbyes Poem by Robert Rorabeck

Plenitude Of Goodbyes

She will go with him, and the day is long:
Old and preaching and drinking liquor, they will mine for gold:
The airplanes will settle down and make love in the trees,
The sun will set and the sun will rise,
And eventually they will exit together, kissing and singing
A plenitude of goodbyes.
