EITHER WAY - MOST OF US LOSE.
We were born rich and deserve to be top of the pile.
We were born poor; making do with the dregs
that drop down.
We were born smart and deserve to get rich with
our guile.
We were born thick and we live on the shit side of
town.
We who are blessed with riches or talent or both,
assume that our gifts reward us for virtue and
worth.
But privilege swells like a lethally cancerous growth
when we look with disdain on brothers less
favoured from birth.
