Poem 17, Fiery Tales

Poem 17, Fiery Tales
~
Faeries sit upon the flowers
Above them, the mighty oak tree towers
Seemingly without a care
For the glistening raindrops in the air.

The elves pause in their cheery flight
Chasing shooting stars by night,
Happy laughter echoes around
Fading away to peaceful sounds.

Away in the mountains, the hammers ring
Upon the anvils, the metal sings
The stories and songs and legends heard
Carried on by wing of bird.

But around the world, when night doth fall
Sleepy murmurs are answered by whispered call
Close your eyes and welcome sleep
May your dreams remain wonderful for you to keep.
