Poem 2 (You Will Never Know) Poem by C Jay Caputo

Poem 2 (You Will Never Know)

As I lay thee down to sleep, lips lock with lust.
They brush with sincerity.
A feeling of forever sets in.
Eyes lock and become bound by love
An unbreakable bond
I laugh at anything willing to take on the challenge,
We welcome death in its sad attempts to separate an unbearably strong will to be together.
Not even life after death could get in the way
For the sun will still rise, and the sun will still set.
As long as this continues to occur the love I shed, the fire of passion will still burn bright.
Connected by a surreal set of feeling one isn't willing to let go.
Not for the riches of King Solomon himself.
A grain of sand has a better chance quenching the thirst of the thirsty than I have not being in love.
To be together
Forever

I speak these words.

To my only true love
The only one I truly adore
Everything fails in comparison to how I feel
Nothing can accurately portray how I feel
No words describe my soul's thirst for yours
And no statement can fully capture the raw amount of emotion I feel towards you
Words can't explain nor can affection show
You will never know
You will never know
