What is a poem?
If not a bunch of random words
Strung together and made to sound
Pretty?
A meaningful paragraph
Deep and exotic
And very emotional
They don't amount to much
But still, I write them
They let me fight away the pain
And the darkness that prevails in my life
They help me express my emotions
And let everything out
They help me survive
Through my suicidal phase
Through the good
And the bad
As long as I can get my feelings out
I just know
Everything will be alright
