The road that carried you away
Still lies beneath the moonlit rain.
Each stone remembers your footsteps,
Though seasons have washed away your name.
The old trees bend in the evening wind,
Whispering stories we used to know.
I stand where we once shared our dreams,
Watching lonely rivers flow.
If love were a lantern,
I'd keep it burning through the night.
If memories were petals,
They would drift forever in your light.
The road is long,
And so is my waiting.
Every dawn arrives without you,
Every sunset leaves me wondering.
Perhaps somewhere beyond these hills,
You hear the same sad song I do.
And perhaps when the stars fill the sky,
They still shine on me and you.
Until then,
I will keep one corner of my heart unchanged—
Like an old road beneath falling leaves,
Quietly hoping you'll pass this way again.
