Poems of Grace Series

Nothing I am
so little to claim
give me but the heart
that will proclaim
our humanity in common-
the oneness that blesses
in love and compassion's name-

we'll light up
the darkest path
with our hearts in passion-
our sympathy let's call upon
to build life's sacred sanctum -

me, only a droplet
in an unknown ocean

we might not have met
yet are bound together
in every act
that's transcendental
in every sense
wholly humane
