Poetic War Poem by John Clayton

Poetic War

Fighting each other,
Brother from another mother.

All the same, no claim,
Fighting for territory, a tragedy.

Blind with rage, you love to hate,
Dropping bombs on innocent innocence.

Arab children, Jewish children,
Let them be. Peace, harmony
Is what you must seek.

No hate, no claim, no shame.

Abraham, Ahmed,
You bleed the same,
You sweat the same,
You can love the same.

What's the foundation of religion?
What's the foundation of peace?
It's love.

To love, love thyself first,
It's the purest form of thirst.

You can't have world peace if you don't have inner peace.

You're afraid, you have agendas,
Not ready to surrender.

Values, attitudes, join together,
Create a better generation,
In need of respiration.
