They may say Plato was not right
When he described poems as rubbish
Because he was not literary inclined
And through Aristotelian criticism
He had been put back to his place.
But Arnold had told many budding
Writers to wait for the right season
When they have enough tissue In the
Stem to stand in the literary world
Having learned principles from great works.
The school could be disappointing
As Pope once said, but nature will
Bring out the best out of those ready
To learn from the classics and observing
Patiently and steadily like Da Vinci.
I had seen lot of doggerels published
And applauded daily by literary novice
And the flaws remains obvious that these
Poemtasters have not experimented enough
To know what works before they publish rums.
