Point Of Truth Poem by Lilibeth Apat

Point Of Truth

Everybody thinks others should leave them alone
`It’s my life, ” one might say
It’s true, I guess, maybe
But then it’s partly wrong, too.

No one in this world ever survives
Nor even exist, I might dare add,
Without somebody else’s presence or interference;
Be it for the worst or for the best.

Our lives are intertwined, yours and mine;
Whether we like it or not;
Nobody can change this fact of life
That we’re all involved… affected by other people’s lives.
