Poison Lake Poem by Justin Gildow

Poison Lake

Steps are few and far between
At Poison Lake

Platforms move left and right
As well as up and down

I try not to fall off of them
Seeing that I could meet my end
in the toxic water

Ravens, bats, frogs and other creatures
give chase
While some ignore me
Instead, just taking in the night
And leaving me alone
As I continue on my journey through the night

The bridges are designed weirdly
But I'll cross them in some way
My life depends on it
