Poisoned Words Poem by Nikita Pradeep

Poisoned Words

No one can be trusted,
In this sad bad world,
Cause if once trusted,
You'll walk through
the wrong wrong way,

The poisoned words
covered with sweetness,
Which falls from the foe's mouth,
I, their next prey,
Listen with utmost care.

They come to you disguised as an angel,
Their mind filled with plans,
Their heart filled with hatred, dirt,
To guide you to sadness, emptiness.

And you like a small child,
As if someone gave you a precious toy,
jump with delight,
Take a deep plunge into the pit dug by the foe,
Where after you reach,
realize,
You did a great mistake,
Which can't be erased.
